Aoud Violet opens with a burst of color, conjuring a flood of purple violets and green grasses near a forest. Violets often take on a powdery aspect in perfume, but Aoud Violet sweetens the violet just enough to elevate it out of floral territory. Agarwood is unexpectedly mellow here, rounding out the sharp greens with a woody smokiness and providing a smooth, leather-inflected finish. The drydown is beautiful, even hours later.
