On a trip to Kyoto, Annick Goutal fell to the unsettling charm of gardenia, known as “mute” flowers from which no essence may be extracted. She reinterpretates their scent, fresh and milky, as well as subtle and hypnotising and arranges tuberose, jasmine and orange blossom upon a backdrop of myrrh.
